Drug Uses

Lovatatin is used for lowering high cholesterol in certain patients. It is used along with an appropriate diet. It is used in certain patients to reduce the risk of heart attack and chest pain caused by angina. It is also used to slow blood vessel blockage and to reduce the need for medical procedures to open blocked heart blood vessels. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How Taken

Use Lovatatin as directed by your doctor. Take Lovatatin with a meal. Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice at the same time you take Lovatatin. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may increase the risk of side effects from Lovatatin. Continue to take Lovatatin even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Storage

Store Lovatatin at 59 to 86 °F (15 to 30 °C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Lovatatin out of the reach of children.
